Wallpaper made from glass and sand

Wallpaper made from recycled glass and other materials is a hot trend.
York Wallcoverings is among he manufacturers adding texture with sand and recycled glass such as from car windshields.
A new proprietary technique is mixing metallic glitter into glass for subtle sparkle; another is layering metallic ink over repurposed sand for a dimensional quality reminiscent of tin ceilings. Light-reflective metallics add visual depth without actual weight.
In a way the designs are going far back in time since the first wallpapers used by 16th century nobility were intended to mimic tapestries, marble and paneling.

Glitter, glass and sand give these wallpapers texture.
